Ezelina Chimaliro, a civil servant working with the judiciary office in Lilongwe, is one woman who has graduated from a habit of impulse spending to a savings culture โ all thanks to United Civil Servants SACCO- UCS SACCO, whose products including savings and member education, have been a redemption among SACCO members. According to Chimaliro, saving money was not one of her financial languages before she joined UCS SACCO as she was always caught off guard in her expenditures, hence, exhausting all her monthly income.โBefore I joined UCS SACCO in 2024, I was very helpless when it came to saving money. At that time, I was of the impression that the fate of all my income was consumption not knowing that I can invest some of my money in savings, thereby laying a strong foundation for a secure and successful future,โ said Chimaliro.
